COLD HARDY WINDMILL PALM

TRACHYCARPUS FORTUNEI: Chinese Windmill Palm, Chusan Palm

These are the hot ticket items! Because they are cold hardy into the teens, a wider (and more northerly) audience can reap the tropical benefits. Drought tolerant, cold tolerant and low maintenance. They will perform best in partial shade in a well draining soil.

With young Windmills

It is important that you do not over water as roots have a tendency to rot.

Cover when the temperature falls into the 20s until they are well established.

They will become more cold tolerant with maturity.

SQUIRRELS LOVE PALMS, TOO!

This is Obie!

She is an orphaned squirrel that we rehabilitated from a the size of a fuzzy baby. She was released back into the wild recently & still visits quite often to get a peanut when she sees us in the yard! We are a state licensed WILDLIFE REHABILITATOR in NC. We spend countless hours & a LOT of our own money to feed, house & care for injured & orphaned animals until they are ready to be released back into the wild. ANY donation will be GREATLY appreciated!
